Our Legacy in Osborne Village
The 121 Osborne Street location has deep roots in Winnipeg's sushi scene.
Originally founded in 1999 as Wasabi Sushi Bistro by Cho Venevongsa, a Laotian-born
chef who apprenticed under master sushi chef Sadao Ono at Edohei, Winnipeg's original
sushi restaurant. Now independently operated as Akindo Sushi Bistro, we continue the
tradition of serving high-quality, fresh Japanese cuisine at this iconic Osborne Village
address — a cornerstone of Winnipeg's sushi culture for over 25 years.

Our Sushi Menu
Our extensive menu features signature sushi rolls like the Black Dragon Roll,
Mango Roll, Super Dynamite Roll, Tango Mango, Fire Dragon Roll, and Bistro Special Roll
— all crafted with the freshest ingredients. We also serve fresh sashimi, classic maki,
hot and cold appetizers including Takoyaki and Spicy Mango Prawns, noodle dishes like
Udon, bistro combos, and standout dishes such as New Style Sashimi and Honey Plum Tuna.
